“My favorite strength exercises are explosive workouts like deadlifts or power cleans,” says Beachbody fitness expert Amanda Lopez.
“I like to incorporate something that works on balance, whether it’s using stability equipment like a stability ball or doing exercises with one leg or one arm,” she adds.

1. Improves sleep quality
According to the Sleep Foundation, muscle building and training can “improve sleep quality and help you fall asleep faster and wake up less often during the night.”
Amanda Lopez says, “Good quality sleep is very beneficial to a person’s overall well-being.
These benefits include reduced risk of disease, improved mood and weight management.
2. Stress reduction
At this point, many of us feel more stressed and anxious. Strength exercises are an excellent way to combat these two phenomena.
“Endorphins produced during exercise promote relaxation,” says Amanda Lopez. These exercises can also help reduce anxiety symptoms and stabilize your overall mood. In short, they are absolutely guided!

Although strength training has benefits for both men and women, “as women age and reach menopause, their estrogen levels decline, leading to a sharp increase in the risk of osteoporosis. “Lifelong strength training helps women increase bone density and maintain strong bones,” says Amanda Lopez.
Many women are also convinced that those who practice strength training have a higher chance of bulking up.
But, as Amanda Lopez points out, “Women don’t have the same amount of testosterone as men, so they can’t really bulk up their bodies. Instead, they’ll tend to develop a toned and sculpted figure.”
