Each month, a new trainer takes us through the top four workouts in their back pocket. Follow us weekly for new ways to break a sweat. Look at all

Whenever you get up from a chair, climb stairs or walk around a block, you are using muscles all over your lower body. Of course, exercise is important to keep these muscles strong, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a long, drawn-out process. In just 15 minutes, you can complete A simple-yet-effective lower body energy workout that will keep your muscles in the shape of a fight for all those daily activities.

During this week’s episode Instructor of the month clubMorit Summers, founder of Form Fitness A lower body strength takes you through the workout. You can do this without two dumbbells, a kettlebell or any tools. During the 15-minute class, you will complete two sets of four classic exercises that will engage the muscles throughout your lower body, such as your glutes, quads and hamstrings.

You will start with your favorite summer action, goblet squat, which targets all the muscles below your body. Next, you’ll perform a back lunge to really work your quads. Then, you will have a lateral lunge to engage your adductor, aka your inner thigh. And then you end up noticing your hamstrings with a split-stance deadlift.

Summers recommends that you repeat each step about 10 to 12 times. He’ll walk you through two rounds, but you’re more than welcome to stick to just one or add more sets. Just feel right for you and your body. Lace-up your sneakers, grab a towel and some water and press play in the video above to move on.
