Traditional barre routines focus on short-range isometric movements that help you build strength.

With them, you feel that you are straining, and you may even shiver a little, which is a completely normal sign that your body is working.

Xtend Barre incorporates isometric exercises, but Andrea ups the intensity by adding dynamic exercises through the full range of motion.

Her Xtend Barre routines not only help you build toned legs, ripped arms, and a strong core, but also burn fat with a healthy dose of cardio.

Do I need ballet barre to do Xtend Barre?

Absolutely not! You can use any sturdy chair, the back of a sofa, or even a countertop.

Although some members of the Xtend Barre team use the ballet barre to perform certain moves, Andrea always demonstrates exercises with a chair.
